House Fire Earlsworth Road

Dear Residents,

House Fire Earlsworth Road

As many of you will know, Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called to a house fire in Earlsworth Road in Willesborough, Ashford, in the early hours of Wednesday morning this week.

As Kent Fire and Rescue Service has reported-

“At the height of the fire, seven fire engines and a height vehicle were at the scene. Crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to put the fire out, and accessed water from hydrants.

“Two people were handed into the care of SECAmb paramedics, suffering the effects of smoke inhalation. Kent Police also attended.

“The cause of the fire is not yet known.”

SWANCC are grateful that no one was seriously hurt and we extend our deepest concern to the residents whose homes were affected by the fire.

As a community, residents responded with care and diligent action to support Emergency Services, and we thank everyone for cooperating so calmly and responsibly.

SWANCC are also extremely appreciative to the emergency services for their swift and positive action during this incident and their ongoing communication with ourselves and partner agencies; including Peter New from Neighbourhood Watch, throughout the day yesterday.

An investigation is being carried out into the cause of the fire, and we await this information.
